When to use 96146
Use 96146 when a single instrument is administered and scored by computer. For two or more tests administered by a clinician, use the 96136–96139 series instead.

Report once per single automated instrument. The clinician’s interpretation and report are included, so do not also bill separate administration codes for the same test.
