FAQ
Questions therapists ask before using this calculator
What kinds of providers belong in a therapist referral directory?
Build a list of providers you trust across specialties: psychiatrists for medication consults, primary care for medical issues, dietitians for nutrition work, coaches or body-based therapists for adjacent services, and specialists in your niche.
Where is the directory data stored?
Everything lives in your browser using localStorage. You can export the full directory as a CSV anytime and store it wherever you keep practice records.
Can I edit or remove a contact later?
Yes. Each contact has edit and remove buttons. Edits update in place; removals are immediate and there is no undo, so review before deleting.
How does the search work?
The search looks at name, profession, specialties, phone, email, and notes. It is case-insensitive and matches partial words, so you can type a fragment of a specialty to find the right person.
Should I include client information in the directory?
No. The directory is for provider contacts only. Do not store client identifying information here. Always follow your professional agreements and HIPAA safeguards when sharing referral details.
